I thought it would be important at this point, mainly because I have spoken to a lot of folks who are out looking for jobs right now, to point out to you folks that before you go crazy looking for a job decide what you want! Once you decide what you want, I assure you, you will poor 110% of your energy into it and you will have a much better chance of achieving and accomplishing it.
The point is yes the resume is important, yes the interview is important, but first decide what you want, who you really want to work for, do your research, and figure out an angle to get what you want. Once you know what you want, then work on your resume for that particular situation, and work on the networking for that particular situation.
I have heard too many folks doing what I did originally, the shot gun approach. I am here to tell you it is a waste of time. Decide what you want and go for it!
