Personal
Character- Our daughter Nia is a Genuine Virtuous Leader:
- She strives for great things
- She challenges her friends to be better
- She goes beyond selfishness and serves others
- She is a decision maker
- She stays the course when it is not so easy
- She does not take short cuts on serving others
- She has practiced self control
- She is fair in dealing with everyone she meets

Aims- Our daughter Nia since she was 5 years old has wanted to be a doctor, so she could help others. She has stayed the course and to this day has that as her vision. As parents, we believe she will be a doctor and will be the best doctor. This is her vision not ours, and we are proud of that fact.
Strengths – her strengths are her character. Nia has a unique ability to be able to communicate, socialize, and relate with all types of people. She has many different types of friends and has always had many friends from all walks of life. Nia always tries to add value to her friends and bring them up from wherever they are at. She is a leader.
Weaknesses – Nia’s weakness comes from her strength of being so involved in things and having so many friends, she is busy and thus often times her time management and organizational skills are not what they should be.
Values – Nia loves life and loves people, and she has a giant heart.
We are proudest of Nia because of the young woman she has become. She stands up for what she believes and she has a back bone. Nia does not go with the crowd, she is a true leader. Our daughter will do great things, and we are excited for all the fortunate people who will get to experience knowing our daughter.
Academics-
When you look at Nia’s academics, it must be looked at in light of the fact that she is involved and she does many things. Nia takes her studies seriously, but she knows this is not all there is to life. She will not miss an appointment with a “down syndrome” child to study for a test. Nia has balance in her life and her academics show that she has balance.
Extracurricular-
Nia has been involved in many extracurricular activities throughout her childhood and high school. Nia has been an avid tennis player and a member of the St. Thomas St. Thomas
Nia has many extracurricular activities and hobbies. She is a certified Scuba Diver, and enjoys traveling. She has met friends and has stayed in contact with people around the world. Some of Nia’s hobbies include scuba diving, fishing, tennis (10 years), traveling, volunteering/contributing, boating, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and snow skiing.
Nia has been very involved in her church, Annunciation Catholic Church.
Anecdotes
Nia will always point out an elderly couple who are walking hand and hand and say how cute they are. Nia will go out of her way to say “hi” to a handicap person. You can be walking in the mall with Nia and she will run up and say come here quick I need you to see something (your thinking a dress or something), only to have her bring you to a handicap person or an elderly person that she is having a conversation with. She wants you to meet the person and get involved in the conversation. Nia does not get intimidated or nervous because someone is different, she has a giant heart.
- Balanced
- Compassionate
- Leader
- Integrity
- Grateful
Nia is a genuine virtuous leader. She aspires to do great things, and she will. She has always had a soft spot in her heart for the less fortunate particularly the “down syndrome” people, and the “elderly” people. She has always given of herself and her time to add value to these folks because she wanted to.
